nightstop in South Holland District

A new local branch of NIGHTSTOP UK began in South Holland District in October 2004.

The charity is working with South Holland District Housing Officer May Read to provide bed and breakfast (in the homes of carefully vetted and trained local volunteer families) for youngsters who become homeless after a family crisis or emergency.

We need volunteers to be trained as hosts, drivers, telephone contacts, or simply to help us raise funds to support this work.

We are offering an increasing number of beds, and because we are now expanding our service into a larger area, we need more hosts to fill the demand. As hosts need to go through the usual CRB (criminal records) checks, this takes some time to arrange. If people need reassurance about any questions they have, one of our hosts is able to make a home visit to chat about hosting.
