Homelessness Sunday 2007

On Sunday 28th January, Fiona and Sue  gave a dramatised presentation at Swan Street Baptist Church in Spalding about the misconceptions many people have about the nature of homelessness. This is the Sunday when churches all over the UK remember that homeless people need support from us all.
 
Lincolnshire Co-Operative are supporting homelessness charities this year as part of their on-going work in the community
For two weeks there was a collection of food at  the Co-Operative Store in Winsover Road, Spalding. The food was given to St Matthew's Housing project in Spalding which re-settles homeless people.

Nightstop SHD Second Anniversary

In October 2006, Nightstop volunteers celebrated the second anniversary of South Holland District Nightstop. It has been a successful two years, but we urgently need more host families to support us in our third year of service to  homeless young people.

Nightstop SHD Musical Marathon

On 9th September 2006, Nightstop SHD celebrated a fund-raising Musical Marathon at Swan Street Baptist Church, Spalding.

A wonderful day was enjoyed by all who took part. Nightstop volunteers served coffee and snacks throughout the day. Sponsors raised more than £500 - congratulations are due to the performers and the organisers (Sue, Fiona and Leda). Thanks also to Swan Street Baptist Church for hosting the event.

Nightstop training day presentation on drugs mis-use

 

Nightstop SHD Training Day

On 10th June 2006, Nightstop SHD held a training day, including a most informative talk about recognising the signs of drugs mis-use. Our speaker was Kay Woollas and her talk was entitled 'Trainspotting 2 Drugspotting'. It was held at the Catholic church hall and we shared a chat over lunch.

On 5th October 2005, Nightstop SHD celebrated the first anniversary of its launch. Committee members celebrated with a party.
